Congratulations to all of the nominees and winners at this year’s Arqiva Awards, held last night at London’s Westminster Bridge Park Plaza Hotel.
 
LBC took home a haul of awards with Iain Dale receiving Presenter of the Year (2m+), Dan Freedman winning Journalist of the Year, the station’s PD James Rea won programmer of the Year as well as taking the coveted Station of the Year (2m+) award.

We’re lucky enough to be part of the Internet Advertising Bureau’s Online Audio Council. At the most recent event Audiencenet shared the results of their research into listening habits for all audio.
Radio has had the steady hand of RAJAR to generate its audience research and the RAB for further industry insight and being always curious to the habits of the listening population we were keen to see how much similarity and difference would be found from existing research.

link.png Where Google Music All Access Misses Out

Google have delighted music and tech fans with the long awaited launch of their music streaming service, All Access.
Available in the US only (although further rollout is planned), it offers a subscription based service to rival Spotify and Rdio. Apple are also rumoured to be planning a streaming service launch (also subscription based) later this year.
So should Spotify be quaking in their oh-so-on-trend boots? Frankly, no.

The RAB have released their latest insight into the most effective features of radio creative.

Unsurprisingly the key message is about consistency. Consistency of framework of music of voice, consistent synergy with TV commercial audioand language within other media.

talkSPORT are celebrating a deal which will bring commentary of the Premier League football games to the People's Reublic of China.
The station partnered with Adrep China Advertising Services Ltd to develop national sports radio broadcasting in the nation.
