End of an era for many of our Manchester based friends. This week news broke that major changes are developing at Bauer’s big City Network for June. This includes Key 103 to rebrand as Hits Radio and go national.
The changes are to happen on June 4th, 2018, with Hits Radio and Hits Radio Network will be overseen by Gary Stein, Group Programme Director, Hits Radio Network.

The Eagle has landed, but this time the nest has changed.
A new home of Eagle 3 Radio has developed, as the station is launching its new online portal for all the latest music, interviews and live sessions.

This week, Siobhan Kenny of Radiocentre spoke at the VLV Spring Conference at the Geological Society in Piccadilly. She was joined by LBC’s Nick Ferrari, Fun Kids’ Radio’s Matt Deegan and media historian Dr Tony Stoller CBE on a panel discussing the challenges and opportunities for commercial radio in a digital age.

Our last story this week lands on bit of a sad note. Dumbarton-based ‘Your Radio’ is to cease broadcasting after 18 years on the air.
Commercial director, Spencer Pryor said factors such as increasing rent, high running costs and falling advertising revenues were to blame.
