Podcast of the Week: Quickly Kevin; Will He Score?
This week’s Podcast Pick of the Week is ‘Quickly Kevin; Will He Score?’.
If you often find yourself gazing out of windows, thinking back to a time when your life was consumed by names such as, Shearer, Gascoigne, Le Tissier, than this comedy football podcast is for you.
Quickly Kevin is a series in which 90’s football aficionado (comedian) Josh Widdicombe is joined by friends, and fellow 90s experts, co-host Chris Scull and ‘Director of Podcast’ Michael Marden, as the trio embark on a tour of niche football topics of the period 1st January 1990 to 31st December 1999.
Now, as someone who came into this world at the back end of 1991, 90s football was not an era that original enticed me to this podcast, but more the comedic host and his track record of great radio. But we were instantly fans; the range of guests and topics they cover are fascinating to any sports fan and the comedy value is worth that to anyone who just enjoys a laugh.
